Hi, I'm Cierra
Photographer, adventurer, human rights activist, scientist, anthropologist.
My name is Cierra Isakson and I am a student at Plymouth State University!

I decided to join the Interdisciplinary Studies program because I have way too many passions to pick just one. I chose to combine Environmental Science and Anthropology because they seem to connect in more ways than one, and those are two things I consider myself passionate about. I have also added Global Tourism to my contract here at PSU as a minor. I want to learn the complexity behind tourism and how it can be managed and made sustainable for generations to come!

In my time here at Plymouth State, I have been able to discover more and more about myself and to allow myself flourish in several ways. I have recently gotten in touch with mediumship within myself and trying to connect others with their friends, family and others that have crossed over. I like to give tarot card readings on myself and anyone who is interested in knowing more about themselves. I have collected an abundance of rocks and crystals, whether they're rocks that my partner brings home from work for me or I go to my local metaphysical shop and pick them out myself.

I look forward to sharing my work here with you!
What is Interdisciplinary Studies?
Interdisciplinary Studies (IDS) gives students the ability to use their creative mindset in order to customize a program that fits their learning needs. Students are able to create their own major based on all of their interests rather than focusing on one thing. This allows for students to move toward their academic goals one building block at a time.
What is Environmental Anthropology?
Environmental Anthropology is learning the science behind society and how the environment affects the way a culture goes about life and how humans adapt through nature, in both present day and the past to create a better understanding of why society functions the way it does within the environment.
As I continue to take courses here at PSU, I have learned that everything is connected somehow. This has expanded my understanding of how the environment impacts humans and vice versa. As I finish my time here at Plymouth, I would like to continue my understanding of humans and the environment and inspire others to help save the Earth for future generations.
